MAZARIADES 2008 - FRANKFURT - 26-28 SEPTEMBER

The aims of the Mazariades are to improve international contacts, to get to know each other better, to share the Mazars Way, and, of course, to have fun together!

As last year, there will be no traditional sports on this year’s programme. Instead, teams will compete in adventure, fun, and knowledge games. And, to emphasise the fact that we are a global organisation, each team will consist of a mixture of nationalities. These teams will strive against each other in many fun activities. Teamwork is the key to becoming champion!

The Mazariades will be held in Frankfurt, Germany. The city is easily accessible from Frankfurt Airport and two train stations: central station and airport station.

To help make the event a success, all participants must arrive before 16h00 on Friday, 26 September, at Frankfurt airport or at one of the two train stations. The games will take place on Saturday, and will be followed by a cracking party. On Sunday there will be no organised programme after breakfast. Transport to and from the airport or train stations and accommodation will be arranged.

There is room for 750 participants at this year’s Mazariades. The participants will be selected by the Country Executives. An estimated number of participants for each country has been established on the basis of total staff numbers.

Let's start the pleasure now!

Mazariades 2007 will be the first of the 'Mazariades new style'.This year there are no traditional sports on the programme, but teams will compete in adventure, fun, and knowledge games. And, to emphasise the fact that we are a global organisation, for the first time, each team will consist of a mixture of nationalities. These teams will strive against each other in many fun activities. Teamwork is the key to championship!

MAZARIADES, MORE INFORMATION!

For years, the focus at the Mazariades has been on sporting events, with all the different countries competing against each other. This year, the focus will be on getting to know your colleagues from other countries, as well as sporting events and having fun. This year's Games can best be characterised as open air, team-spirit games.

On Saturday, international mixed teams, comprising at least two participants from each country, will compete against each other in a series of sporting events. Although it will be a sporting occasion, it has been designed to be suitable and enjoyable for everyone, whatever their level of physical fitness may be.

WHAT DO THESE TEAM-SPIRIT GAMES INVOLVE?

All the teams will compete against each other in four different groups of activities. The first activity will be a quiz, with questions being based on Mazars. The second activity will be the fun element and include games such as Super Soccer (football on an air bed) and building and sailing a raft, while the third activity will be a game of beach volleyball.

The fourth activity will consist of Adventure Games such as the Jeep Special Task, when you will be asked to move a stranded jeep, or Burma Bridge, where the teams will have to make a rope bridge.

After all these strenuous activities during the day, it will be time to relax at the party on the Saturday evening. You will be sent more information on the theme of the party in due course.

MAZARIADES, PLUS D’INFORMATIONS!

Lors des Mazariades, l’accent est mis depuis des années sur les tournois sportifs, notamment entre pays. Cette année, outre les préoccupations d’ordre sportif et ludique, des efforts particuliers seront déployés pour que les collègues des différents pays apprennent à mieux se connaître. La meilleure qualification que l’on pourrait donner à cette édition serait celle de « jeux sportifs de l’esprit d’équipe » en plein air.

C’est avec des équipes internationales mixtes (comprenant au moins 2 représentants d’un même pays par équipe !) que vous entrerez samedi dans la compétition. Bien qu’il s’agisse d'un événement sportif, il est attractif et ouvert à chacun d'entre vous, quelle que soit votre condition physique.

« JEUX SPORTIFS DE L’ESPRIT D’EQUIPE », QUE FAUT-IL ENTENDRE PAR LA?

Toutes les équipes s’affronteront samedi en quatre blocs séparés. Le premier bloc se compose d’un quiz dont les questions concernent évidemment Mazars. Le deuxième bloc est ludique. Par exemple « Super Soccer » (football sur un coussin d’air) ou « construire un radeau et naviguer ».

Le troisième bloc est consacré au « Beachvolleybal » et le quatrième aux jeux d’aventure (« Adventure Games »), par exemple au jeu « Jeep Special Task », ou une Jeep ensablée doit être déplacée ou encore au « Birma Bridge », où les équipes doivent construire un pont de cordes.

Après tous les efforts de cette journée, le temps viendra de la détente. Le samedi soir s’inscrit donc sous le signe de la fête, une fête endiablée. Nous vous informerons en temps utile sur le thème de cette soirée !

¡LAS MAZARIADES, MÁS INFORMACIÓN!

Con las Mazariades nos dedicamos, desde hace años, a celebrar torneos deportivos en los que los países compiten entre sí. Este año, además del aspecto deportivo y la diversión, nos centraremos en que conozca a sus compañeros de otros países. Esta edición se caracterizará, especialmente, por los "juegos con espíritu de equipo" que se jugarán al aire libre.

EI sábado habrá un enfrentamiento deportivo entre equipos mixtos internacionales (¡cada país estará representado por un mínimo de dos participantes!). Aunque se trate de un acontecimiento deportivo, todo el mundo puede participar, al margen de la condición física que se tenga.

¿QUÉ SIGNIFICA "JUEGOS CON ESPÍRITU DE EQUIPO"?

EI sábado, todos los equipos se enfrentarán entre sí durante cuatro bloques diferentes. EI primer bloque consistirá en un concurso de preguntas basadas en Mazars, por supuesto. En el segundo bloque se tratará, sobre todo, de divertirse. Por ejemplo, piense en "Super Soccer" (fútbol sobre hinchables) o "Construir una balsa y navegar".

EI tercer bloque se dedicará al "Beachvolleybal" y el cuarto a los "Adventure Games". En estos juegos habrá que superar pruebas tales como "Jeep Special Task" que consiste en desplazar un jeep embarrancado o en el "Birma Bridge" en el que los equipos tendrán que encontrar la forma de hacer un puente colgante.

Y después de un día de tanto esfuerzo habrá tiempo para relajarse. EI sábado noche habrá una fiesta sensacional. ¡Sobre el tema de la fiesta les informaremos a su debido tiempo!

Les Mazariades 2007 se dérouleront du 21 au 23 septembre prochain aux Pays-Bas. Petit changement cette année puisque les sports traditionnels seront remplacés par différentes activités mêlant aventure, divertissement, et culture générale. Et pour mettre l’accent sur l’internationalisation de Mazars, les équipes seront composées de collaborateurs originaires de pays différents. MAZARIADES 2007

The Mazariades 2007 will be held from 21 to 23 September in the Netherlands, in Tilburg. This city is favourably situated in relation to various airports (Eindhoven, Rotterdam, Brussels, Amsterdam, and Düsseldorf).

The Mazariades are aimed at bringing together colleagues from different countries through sporting and recreational activities.

To restore their original character, Mazariades 2007 will be the first year of the “Mazariades new style”!

It has been realised that not all Mazars staff were able to participate in the usual sports - football, volleyball, tennis, and golf.

The aim of the Mazariades has always been to improve international contacts and to create team spirit; and, of course, to have fun together! So Mazariades new style is designed to be suitable for everyone, regardless of physical condition and age.
